Zak the Baker Launches a Falafel Pop Up

By Kosher Guru / September 3, 2020

The well known Cafe and Bakery, Zak the Baker has been creating homemade artisan breads and pastries since 2014. Their menu is filled with a variety of breakfast and lunch items, dairy and pareve. In an interview with Miami New Times, the owner Zak Stern shares that offering an evening food service was in the works, but was never expected to be launched  so early. Since Covid struck, the bakery had to look for a new and inventive way to sustain itself through this Pandemic. This is where the Falafel Pop up was born-Stern says that he was looking to create a menu that was comforting and affordable. The main stars of this new menu offer Vegan Falafel and Mushroom Shawarma. Stern also stated that moving forward nothing is definite yet, but feels the pop up will find a permanent residence.

We hope!
