London Broil

London Broil

I’m not sure about you but I don’t always feel like cooking. I do get in a lazy mood and need super simple easy dishes to prepare for the family. I’m super grateful to Daddy Sam’s sauces for this. I don’t always like store bought sauces I always find myself having to “doctor” them up with different spices and add other sauces to make it just right, well not this time. I also make sure that the meat I buy is American.  Meal mart is a perfect example of American meat. Always more tender and better cut than many others, Meal Mart meat never lets me down. When I pair a Meal Mart London Broil with Daddy Sam’s it’s like a match made in heaven and makes my life sooo easy! London Broil is a great super easy cut to prepare for Shabbos or super simple dinners. I like it cooked pretty pink inside so if you like your meat more well done I guess just cook it longer but I take no responsibility for how it comes out . Another thing that is a must when cooking meat is a good meat thermometer. This will ensure a perfectly cooked piece of meat that is the perfect temperature to your liking.  I always go for an internal temp of 135 degrees. So follow along and you too can have a perfectly cooked London Broil made for your Shabbos table

Ingredients

  • London Broil – make sure the meat if from Meal Mart or Alle
  • Daddy Sam’s original BBQ sawce

Directions

  • In a zip lock bag place your London Broil.
  • Just “slop” the Daddy Sam’s sawce over the London Broil to coat.
  • Marinate for 24 hours or overnight this will help tenderize the meat.
  • About a half hour before cooking take your meat out and allow to come to room temp.
  • Place broiler on high.
  • Place meat on a cookie sheet and place under the broiler about 5 min on each side until a nice caramelized color forms on both sides (you can also use a cast iron for this).
  • Turn oven to 350 degrees and cook until it reads an internal temperature of 135 should be about 10-20 minutes.
  • (I don’t like it cooked more than that otherwise because of the lack of fat in this cut it will get too chewy).
  • Allow to rest about 10 minutes before you slice to redistribute the juices.

Enjoy!
