One of my most requested recipes is the stoup (stew soup)that I serve over cous cous. I’ve never shared it until now. Comfort food at its best and now I’ve made crockpot friendly!
Moroccan Crockpot Soup

Ingredients
- 1 pack chicken legs
- 1 cup cubed butternut squash
- 1 cubed yellow squash
- 1 cubed zucchini
- 1/4 of a large head of cabbage rough chopped
- 3 celery stalks large chop
- 2 large carrots chopped
- 2 Yukon gold potatoes chopped
- 1/2 large onion chopped
- 1 can of chickpeas rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons chicken consommé powder I use Osem
- 1 large cinnamon stick ( no don’t use powder)
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 8 cups of water
- A tiny pinch of saffron
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp dry ginger
Instructions
- Basically all you need to do is place the chicken in the pot followed by the veggies and spices add water cover cook on high2 hours and simmer on low for 4.
