Last week I made a London Broil and it was gobbled up super-fast. This week I figured it was so easy and so quick why not do it again. I got the same cut of American Meal Mart shoulder London Broil, but this time I made my own marinate. I once made skirt steaks like this and they were super delish so I said let’s try it for London Bbroil and hope for the best. Well it came out insane and here I am sharing this with you! You do need a small blender and a good meat thermometer for this! If you don’t have those then buy them they are essentials in a kitchen. My little blender I use everyday whether it be for smoothies or techina it’s just the perfect size and no need to take out the big food processor. A meat thermometer is essential for perfectly cooked meat! I cannot eat meat well done and if you think I’m picky just meet my kids.
Ingredients
- Large handful parsley washed and cleaned
- 3-5 cloves of garlic
- Salt
- Black pepper
- ¼ cup Good olive oil
- One Meal Mart shoulder cut London Broil
Directions
- Place meat in a ziplock bag.
- In a mini blender or food processor add the parsley garlic pinch of salt and pinch of pepper and pulse a few times so you have a rough chop to the parsley and garlic.
- Taste the marinade to make sure it has enough salt and pepper it will be garlicky but that will weaken as it matrinates and cooks.
- Pour marinade on top of the meat rub onto surface of the meat!
- Place in fridge.
- Allow to marinate for 24 hours or overnight this will help tenderize the meat.
- About a half hour before cooking take your meat out and allow to come to room temperature.
- Place broiler on high.
- Remove the meat from marinade and rub off most of it allowing the meat to get dry.
- Place meat on a cookie sheet and place under the broiler about 5 min on each side until a nice caramelized color forms on both sides (you can also use a cast iron for this).
- Turn oven to 350 degrees and cook until it reads an internal temperature of 135 should be about 10-20 minutes.
- (I don’t like it cooked more than that otherwise because of the lack of fat in this cut it will get too chewy).
- Allow to rest about 10 min before you slice to redistribute the juices.
Tastes great with onion jam!
Enjoy!
