A Taste of Italy on the UWS

I can’t believe I haven’t gotten to Noi Due Carne located at 141 W 69th Street in Manhattan until now, I know that it opened this past summer. Walking in we were greeted by Golan the owner who by the way is a super nice guy. The restaurant has a trendy cool elegance from the shirts on the wait staff to the cool blue dishes that are on the tables upon seating! Their full bar is extensive and the wine cellar keeping all the fabulous wine collections at the perfect drinking temperature is super cool!

We tasted so many dishes and was super impressed by the love and how caring the chef and owner is about each and every aspect of the restaurant. Some appetizers that stood out was the beef carpaccio, arancini bolognese, the liver toasts, the Israeli salad combos of chummus, matbucha, and babaganush ,all homemade with care and let me tell you the most fabulous olives, yes you heard me olives!

The pastas are all house made and we tried both a pesto gnocchi that was like little pillows of heaven that melted in my mouth and the cavatelli cooked al dente with a generous helping of tender short rib super yum! For entrees I figured why not go authentic Italian and the veal Milanese that came with an incredible arugula salad and the veal cacciatore did not disappoint.

Not sure how we made room but I guess there is always room for desert and really enjoyed the halva silan and sesame gelato and we tried the lemon meringue and berry Napoleon.

The overall experience was really fabulous and I can’t wait to go back to try more fabulous culinary dishes! If you are on the Upper West Side or even if you’re not, this is a must try culinary experience destination.
