Sweet New Year Sangria by The Blum Sisters|@thehungrysisters

Start the new year off right with our sweet simanim filled Sangria! It’s the perfect drink to enjoy with friends and family. L’chaim!

Ingredients:

1 cup pomegranate juice
1 bottle semi-sweet red wine (or dry if that is your preference!)
1/2 cup apple cider
1/2 cup hard Cider (we like to use dry hard cider)
1/4 cup honey
2 oranges (1 for juicing and 1 for slicing)
1 pomegranate, de-seeded
1 apple, sliced
1/2 club soda or seltzer
1 large pitcher

Directions:
Squeeze the juice of 1 orange into the pitcher. Add in the pomegranate juice, red wine, both ciders and honey in a large pitcher. Stir until fully combined. Add in pomegranate arils, sliced oranges and sliced apples and then stir once more. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for maximum flavor. When ready to serve add in your club soda and give one quick stir.

For serving:
Rim each serving glass in honey. Roll in a mixture of granulated sugar mixed with a little bit of pomegranate juice. Pour your sangria in and garnish with an apple slice.

Samantha, Jamie and Brooke,  are 3 sisters who love to eat and cook. They were always taking pictures of what they were eating, so in 2012 they decided to make an Instagram account @thehungrysisters. The Blum sisters would scroll on Instagram and see food on other accounts that looked so good, but couldn’t eat any of it because it wasn’t kosher. They use our account to post kosher food that they eat and create in a fun and colorful way, creating all content and photography. It’s really important to them that they only post food that they genuinely like to keep things authentic. The Blum sisters love to post about new restaurants and brands that are offering something different and exciting in the kosher world, especially collaborating  with kosher brands and restaurants. Follow them @thehungrysisters to see more!
